what does she do???

She hangs out outside.

She jumps in her Jenny Jump Up.

She hangs out in her Chair.

She spends time on her tummy.

She relaxes with her sister.

She pulls hair.

She likes piggy back rides.

She plays dress up.

She sits.

She eats.

She stands...with help.

She rolls over.

She smiles.

She is pretty awesome.

On April 5th Lily turned 3!

She is such a fun girl...always laughing, talking, dancing and playing Barbies!

We celebrated her Big Day at a Hotel in Lakeville with our family.

We also celebrated for Ellie - who turned 4 years old!

My Girls! I love them so much!

They sure keep us busy. Very busy:) And even though it is exhausting - it is so wonderful!

Lily: Talks non-stop. Dances around the house and catches the attention of every person she comes across.

She is smart, fun, beautiful and funny! We enjoy watching her become a big girl! She sure talks like one. She is so entertaining and so much fun to be with!!!

Claire: Our beautiful Baby! She is a true gem! A wonderful baby. Very mild mannered - except for when it comes to eating. She has done so well her first few weeks at Nanny Pats. She loves bath time and splashes around so much that the bathroom floor is typically covered in water. We love watching her personality start to form!

A couple of years ago I bought this heart cookie sheet so that we could make valentines for Mickey - as cookies:) We have kept up the tradition. This year we did brownies. They were delicious. Lily is a great helper in the kitchen. She did all of the decorating.

Back to work...Maternity Leave came and went. I truly enjoyed the time with my girls!

Claire is now 3 months old! She is doing great! For the most part - sleeping like a champ! Great Eater! Doing well with Nanny Pat! Likes to talk and smile! She is pretty wonderful!

Miss Lily has mastered the toilet and is fully potty trained now! We are so proud! My big girl:)
My transition to work has been going well. I am so lucky that I have such a great support system at work and at home, so the transition has been successful. I miss being home with my baby and Lil, but if I have to go back to work...I am happy that this is the place I'm at.

The Birth Story:

2 weeks leading up to the due date I was really starting to get excited. I was trying my best to keep myself in check...but I was pretty optimistic that she would be here at any moment. Actually - in the end I was 3 days late. At least I no longer have to hear: "YOU ARE STILL HERE?!?!?!" as I walk down the hall at work.

Friday night: Up until this point - I stayed away from making plans with anyone (being optimistic that the baby would cancel them anyway.) but at this point I needed a distraction. I also needed to kick my nesting into gear. So late Thursday we decided to invite the kickball team over for a game night. My hope was that I would plan a party, baby would come and I would have to cancel. Haha! (I didn't mean to use you - my dear friends! haha) It didn't actually work that way anyway - and that's OK, because I ended up with a fun night and a clean house!

Best part of the night: I kept a small container of water in my pocket. Then during Pictunary I dumped it in my lap and waited for the room to get quiet before I announced that my water had just broken. Hahaaaaa!!!! Ohhhhh - I will never forget that. Girls screaming in joy all starting to jump off of their seats and head up the stairs. I am so funny! hahahaa!

Anyway - the weekend came and went. Missing the Due Date on Saturday. Monday morning I was instructed to call my Dr. She set up an induction for Tuesday morning.

So we took the opportunity to start my leave and spend the day at the Zoo - just the three of us. We had a great day! That night Lily started her time with my mom. Thanks Mom! Love you!

Tuesday morning - we started the party. We were greeted by an awesome nurse and Doogie Houser. A while back - I said yes to being fine with a resident at my delivery - looks like i got him! hahah! (he did do a good job after all - with the Dr.'s right there. But I still had a hard time looking him in the eye. We were afraid to ask him if this was his first delivery - I think it may have been)

Pitocin started at 8:30. Contractions. Broke my water. Epidural. (Whew!) Pushing..

Baby Claire joined the world at 1:49 p.m. 7 pounds 9 ounces. 19.5 inches long.
BEAUTIFUL Baby Girl!

We are doing great! Personally - my recovery this time was soooo much better than the first. The labor was 1/2 as long. It has all been pretty great!

Lily is a champ - adjusting very well. She loves her baby sister!
Mickey is also a champ! He is a wonderful father and a great partner!

Although - both Mickey and Lily have been sick since we have been home. Within 5 minutes of walking in the door Lily had puked all over our bed. I couldn't help but think about how much fun and crazy the rest of my life will be! hahahaa!

Claire is awesome! Perfect! Adorable! I love watching all of her little expressions. I am so in love!

Thanks to our family and friends for you help, support and nice messages. You all mean a lot to us!

First Camping Trip

In case you were wondering...we've been busy this summer.

A weekend in early June we were able to go on our first camping trip with Lily.

It rained both nights and most of the day on Saturday.

We were only 10 miles from home in Lake Elmo,

so I get us props for sticking out the weekend...in a tent...in the rain!

We have been trying to have more play dates with Trish, Dave and Blake. We have all been enjoying these nights. We have gone to Edinbrough Park, Indoor Water Park in IGH, Chucky Cheese, MOA. It is always something fun to look forward to on cold dark nights.

Redneck Racing 2009

So last year I posted about how my dad races a lawn mower - crazy and awesome!

Well this year they (Dad, Dan & Steve) built a power house lawn mower just for the race. Hahah! It is pretty awesome. The thing can go 30 mph. Much faster then the regular model that goes rabbit (a VERY slow rabbit.)

So the race was this weekend - Steve, Dad & Dan all raced. Barb & I raced in the powder puff. Hahah! It was great! I totally won, but was disqualified for going too fast...hmmm...how does that work? Anyway - I was able to take the victory lap with the checkered flag, but I did not take home a trophy. Steve (with Dad & Dan as pit crew) did take home a big beautiful trophy! Nice racing boys!

The Great Pumpkin Patch 2009

Summer Fun

I know..I know...I have not been a good blogger. I will try to be better with it in the future:) For now - I am going to give you a very random (and out of order) update about our very fun summer!

Our Lily - she is a very busy girl. She does take some time off from running to sit and read a good book.

Jen and Rocco were home from Cali just this weekend. :) We've missed her!

This year my family vacation was at Kamp Dels in Waterville MN. Mom & dad had the camper and we rented a cabin as well.

Great food, laughs, swimming, bonfires, a petting zoo, tornado warnings, bike rides, pony rides...it was awesome!

Thanks again to Mom & Dad! (The Zwebers & Dan too!!!) Next year Mickey will be on the trip:)

In Honor of Mickey...
Saturday Morning Kris, Jentz, Adam and I ran the Lederhosen 5K. Besides getting to run, you get a nice T-shirt, a free brat and a beer! PERFECT! hahah! I made Brat T-Shirts for Kris and I the night before. We won drink tickets for honorable mention in the costume contest!!! Rachel also came out at the end of the race.

We still miss Mickey very much. He is having a great trip! It is great when he calls and checks in with us.

We have been keeping ourselves busy while he is gone - hoping that time will go faster... Seeing some friends, dinner with Nanny Pat & Lew, watching Dan's game, spending time with Grandpa, Grandma, Dan, Kate, Zoe & Ellie.

Mickey leaves this Saturday for a 2 week trip to Germany and the Czech Republic. He will be going with his mom, dad and a bunch of people from The German Bohemian History Society. He will be heading back to the home land and learning more about the Wiltscheck Roots. We will both miss him very much!

1st Day of Day Care - Part 1 & 2

PART 1.
Day 1.
Lil started day care at Cheryl's on Tuesday June 26. It was a tough day. Many tears. Lil was a little anxious about things. She didn't eat very much, but she slept great. She did not want Cheryl to leave her side. It was a very hard day for her...and me too.

Night 1. Cheryl's son was taken to the hospital. He had a bad reaction to some medication. He was in the ICU at Children's for a couple of days. Thank God he is doing better now.

Wednesday - I stayed home
Thursday - Lily went to Kate's
Friday - Lily went to Nanny Pat's

PART 2
Day 1. Lily cried...but cried less than the first day and played more. Loved being outside on the swing.

Day 2. Lily ate more and had a better day than Monday. Again - enjoyed being outside on the swing.

Day 3. A little better and again ate more. When Mickey went to pick her up her new little friends were saying "Bye Lily." she waved. Loves being outside...

Day 4. Every day gets a little better. She enjoyed the reading time and playing games with the other kids.

I know she is going to enjoy her new daycare. I think it just takes a little time. She will adjust and love it there. :) She has already made a lot of progress. I'm so proud of her!

As you know we have been blessed to have my Aunt/God Mother Pat take care of Lily for almost a year now. She is our very special "Nanny Pat". Lily loves her so much (we all do:). Well, the time has come that Lily is going to be starting at an in-home day care full time. It brings me many mixed emotions: Sad, nervous, happy and excited!

Mickey and I can't thank Pat enough for the love and care that she has given Lily. She is amazing! Also thank you to Uncle Lew for being such a big part of Lil's life. She is going to miss being with you both every day. Nanny Pat and Lily will still get many special days together. They have even talked about volunteering at a Nursing home.

Lily will be starting at an In-Home day care in Woodbury (Cheryl.) I feel very comfortable with her day care, she has a great set-up, a lot of experience and I am excited for Lily to be around the other children. I think she will do very well there. Road Trip

This past Tuesday Nanny Pat, Lew and Lily took a Road trip to Iowa and brought grandma Edna back. It was reported that Lily did a great job on the road. She slept a lot on the way down and talked a lot on the way back. I am so glad it went so well. Thanks for the fun trip!

I can't believe it...or baby turns 1 today!!!

The first few weeks seemed to last forever...and then...the rest went by way too fast! Lily is such a blessing and every day with her is amazing! Mickey and I are so lucky to have this special little girl in our lives. We love you Lil!!!!!!!

This was the best trip ever!
Spending a week in Jamaica with the girls was amazing! We had so many laughs and great stories! The resort was beautiful, the water was blue, the sun was hot, the food & drinks were great and the people were the best!!!
I love Jamaica!

This is a pic from our day in Nigril. We didn't think we would need swimsuits for this day trip. We were wrong and wanted to get in the water. So we improvised with some Jamaican gear. We had many locals laughing at us.

The resort was huge. It had many different pools, bars, beaches & restaurants.

Rachel & Colie at 'One Love' in Nigril. This was the best place for lunch on the beach. We were able to visit with the locals, play domino's and enjoy the jerk chicken. The chicken was great, until I saw the chicken's foot on my plate. It was difficult for me to eat it after that.

Cliff Diving at Rick's Cafe. Wow! It was crazy how high these guys were when they would jump! The 4 of us did not jump (we didn't have our suits - only Jamaica gear) but Brenda & Debbie did!! I am so proud. We got there just as they were getting out of the water. Too bad we missed it. (to clarify - they did not jump from a tree.)

I think we may have learned a thing or 2 from these wild women! Haha! It was so nice to be at the Grand Palladium at the same time.

We learned how to look great in their bikini's! Hahaha!

And we learned how to drive the shuttle cars!!! Hands in the air! Hahah!!!

It truly was an amazing trip. Even though I missed my Lily and Mickey so much, I couldn't have had a better time! Thanks girls! I can't wait until our next trip!

Mickey was home with Lily for the week that I was gone. Fri, Sat & Sun they went down to New Ulm to spend time with Grandma & Grandpa Wiltscheck. Lily enjoyed going for walks around the yard, watching the birds and playing with her grandparents.

The rest of the week they were on the go with the normal routine to work, Nanny Pats and Tiny Tot's class. Mickey did a great job of keeping the house neat for any potential showings. He is the best!

Speaking of showings: We had 2 while I was gone and an open house:) We have 2 more today! Yippee!

Jamaica!

Soooooooooo......it is here FINALLY! Colie, Rachel, Colleen & I are heading to Jamaica on Friday morning! In our early 20's we vowed that we would take a nice vacation together when we turned 30. So - saved a little money - got a little older - and here we are! Yippee! We will be staying at the Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa in Lucea. I know we will be enjoying a lot of sun and even more laughs! I can't wait:)

My aunt Ellie, Brenda, Debbie & Denise will also be at the same resort at the same time! Haha! This will be a great trip!

I am sad to leave my Lily though. I have not been away from her for a whole week. I know that I will miss them so much! She will be in great hands with her Dad and Nanny Pat! Mickey & Lil will be heading down to New Ulm to visit Grandpa Gary & Grandma Ann for the weekend. They will have a wonderful time.

House for Sale

After much discussion we have decided that we are putting our home on the market. We LOVE our house and are happy to stay put...but...if we are able to sell it, now is the time to do it. With the interest rates so low and the cost of homes down - it is a good time to upgrade to a place with a bigger yard and a few other things that would be more ideal for our growing family. This is sad, exciting and a lot of work. This house has had so many wonderful memories in the last 5 years, I am sure there will be many more to come. We can only hope and pray that we are doing the right thing. If we don't get an offer that we can afford, we will not be selling. If that is the case, we will be finishing our upstairs giving us more room. Either way we come out winners.

What a week...

Monday Nanny Pat called me. Lily was not keeping anything down (on both ends) . She was also pulling at her ears all day. So I brought her in to after hours care at our clinic. The Dr. there told me that she still had a bad ear infection and that if she continues the vomiting I should bring her to Children's Hospital.

So...home we went (after filling a prescription.) The vomiting continued and got worse. I ended up bring her in to Children's around 8. Mickey was out of town, but I was not on my own, my wonderful parents drove up to sit with me. We were in the waiting room for 4 hours!!! Watching other kids puking all over. Fun:( We finally got into a room around mid night. They had took put an IV in to poor Lily. It was horrible. She did the screaming and I did the crying. I am so glad mom & dad were with me. We were there until 4 a.m.

The next day I stayed home with Lily. She was doing better for the most part until the evening when she started crying/screaming for 2 1/2 hours. This is not normal for her and we couldn't do anything about it. So after calling several nurse lines & the hospital they told us to bring her in again. This time we only had to wait for a couple of hours (better.)

The dr's were concerned with her intestines and did several X-Rays. I can't remember the name they used, but it is where they would contact like a telescope - causing her to cramp and cry/scream a lot. Meanwhile she started vomiting again (this whole time she still had the diarrhea) So they brought me a pair of OR Scrubs. (These are your OR scrubs...O R They??? Yes!) Anyway - again IV. (sucks.) We stayed the night and the next day. She has a bad gastoral flu. This is very common right now. In fact so common that the hospital was full of kids with the same thing. We ended up staying in an ER room the whole time because they did not have any open beds.

Yesterday Lily went to Nanny Pats. She was acting more like herself:) I picked her up to find that Mickey wasn't feeling so hot either...yikes! She did well until last night/early morning with more crying and vomiting.

Today I am home with her. I didn't want to bring her to Kate's and get the girls sick too. We had a follow up Dr's apt this morning. The Dr said she is looking better but we are not done with this bug yet. She thinks we still may have a few more days ahead of us.

Oh - ear infection - the Dr's all had different opinions re the infection. We decided to still with the Dr.'s that said no she did not and not give her more antibiotics.

So TGIF everyone! Let's hope this weekend will be a good one!

We had a nice B-day party at my parents on Sunday. We met at the Cross Roads for lunch and then back to the ranch. We enjoyed playing Dan's Wii, ice cream cake:) Charades and the pin toss game. It was wonderful!!!

Play Date

On Saturday afternoon we went to Trish, Dave & Blake X's home for a play date. The kids can finally play together! Yeah! Lily really enjoyed the chasing the cats, pulling their hair, Blake:) and Dave's performance on his guitar. They also went sledding...still not so sure that Lil likes the cold yet, but after a while she did crack a smile.
Thanks guys it was a blast.

Also - Thank you Gary for taking care of Lily on Friday. She enjoyed the time with her Grandpa!
Friday night I was able to meet up with Lori & Nicole for dinner. As always we had a nice visit.

Baking Bread School

On Sunday Mic, Lil & I went to Nanny Pat & Lew's house. Lew taught Mickey how to make home made bread and soup!!! It was delicious! YUM! Thanks Lew! I can not wait until he masters this skill and we have fresh bread all of the time.

Pat, Lily and I hung out in the afternoon. It was nice to see Lily at her home away from home. She and Pat even did some dancing. Lily loves Pat's Greek music :)

For Valentine's Day Mickey, Lily & I had Uncle Dan and Kris over for a Pizza & Wii party! It was a hit! We all had a nice night.

So, I made brownies for the night and was planning on decorating them. I was very disappointed to find out (mid afternoon) that the boys has already dug into the brownies. :( I still decorated what was left. Heiney and I got to eat that part. Hahaha!

Ice Fishing

Saturday was my Family's Annual Ice Fishing Tournament.
I found out this summer that my buddy Heiney had never been on a lake. (And she is from WI!!)! So I knew she would be joining me for the tourney. Turns out DONELLA also had never been out! Donella and I have been attached since the 6th grade. How did I not know this?!?!?!
So out we went!

It was a blast!!!

That evening Mickey and I switched places. He went out to the Lake for the night with my dad, Dan, Steve and a couple of cousins. From what I hear, they had a VERY fun night!
