Update

Great news - I have been informed that the request of postponement for jury duty has been granted! I will have to serve jury duty, but not until August now:) whew! More time with my Lil Love Bug!

Today Lily and I spent the day garage sale-ing. She did great! We were out at 8 a.m. for the big Woodbury sales and lasted until 4!!! The Woodbury sales are AWESOME and CRAZY...it is like the day after Thanksgiving (which I LOVE.) We were able to have a couple of feedings in the backseat of the car (thanks to the Peanut Shell were still were private.) Colie met up with us around noon and we all had lunch with Mickey while we were in the area. It was a lot of fun. I think Lily enjoyed the fresh air and the longest stroller ride ever. I got some much needed exercise in and enjoyed some good deals.

Our Big Friday night plans include a pizza, Lily's bath time and a movie!

Long & Lean

Lily had a one month check up today. She is now weighing 9 lbs & 3 oz. She is 22 1/4 inches tall. The Dr. said that she is tall and skinny. She MUST get that from me! hahaaa...don't I wish. Anyway - I hope that stays with her forever:)

Lily and I went to visit dad. Our family friend Allan was there and the Zweber girls stopped over too. It was a nice afternoon.Here are a couple of pictures from the day.
Virgie - Lily is still too small for the glasses you got her, but they seem to work for Ellie just fine:)

On a side note, I think today was the last day for the ruffle butt outfit (one of my favorites.) So sad:( Those long legs are getting too long for her NB size. Movin' On Up...

Mid week update

Happy Hump Day Everyone!

Monday night we had our friend Rachel over for dinner. My mom also stopped over for the Cinco de Mayo celebration. I made a themed dinner:) haha. I am a dork, I know. It was great to see you both.

Yesterday Lily and I went to our New Parent Connection group. I really LOVE going there. It is so nice to talk to other parents of newborns and it's a really nice group of people. Trish - you will have to join me when your little guy arrives.

Here are a couple of picture of Miss Lil. She has enjoyed looking at herself this morning:) She has also enjoyed her Nuk today. Normally she doesn't take it, but today she has been all about it. The down side is that she pulls it out, which leads to her getting upset. I know pacifiers are a hot topic right now and people debate if babies should have it or not. I guess right now I don't see the harm in it and it seems to be very calming for her (that is - until she pulls it out.)

Lily is 1 Month old today!

I can't believe how fast that went. Again, we could not be happier. She brings us so much joy and even more love in our lives. It is fun to think what the future holds for her. We have learned a lot in this past month. I know we still have much more to learn and I am looking forward to it all. She is such a blessing!

Best Gift EVER

We have received so many wonderful and generous gifts through the pregnancy and birth. We love and appreciate them all more than you know...BUT... I do have to say that yesterday I received the BEST GIFT EVER from my neighbor Barb. She knows the way to my heart (and tummy ache!)
It is a 5 lb and 4 oz container of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough! haha -How great is that! I need to start focusing on this baby weight of mine, so maybe it is not so great. haha! But I love the thought:)

Lily is 4 weeks old today! Wow...our little girl is growing up so fast:)

FYI: Yesterday I sent in a request for postponement to the county for jury duty. Wish me luck. Part of me thinks that I won't have any problems, but I am just not sure.
