Time with Pat

The last 2 days we have spent time with my God-Mother Pat. If you don't already know, she is going to be Lily Care Giver or her Grand Nanny or Grand Patty. I guess I am not really sure what we are calling it. But whatever it is - she sure is special. Pat will be watching Lily M-Th and will be home on Fridays once I go back to work. Which is in less than 2 1/2 weeks (not that I am counting or anything.)

So we have been spending more time together getting ready. Yesterday Pat came to our place. Today we were at there home and went to some garage sales. We scored on a smaller / light stroller that the car seat can hook in to. That way we are not always lugging around the big one from place to place and Pat can keep it at her house. We also found Lily a rocker/entertaining chair to keep at her house. Pat seems to be very organize for Lily's arrival.

Watching them today was pretty special for me. I know that my little girl is going to be cared for by the best hands. It was obvious looking at the two of them together that Pat is our angel and we are so lucky to have her support.

I also have to laugh at the picture of them, it looks like Lily's cheeks are getting so big they need to rest on her shoulder - Haha!

Creative Onsies

Lily has recieved many adorable and funny onsies. I just had to share the 2 that I think are the most creative.

The first was made by Kathy P. Kathy - I am very impressed and was also very impressed with your creative games for the baby shower. Nice work!

The Second was made by Donella (and Dustin too - I think.) This is a mini version of our kickball uniform (T-Shirts.) The boys have the shirts in Blue and the girls wear them in Pink. They also made this onsie for little Blake. The kids can't wait to wear them to the next (not raining) game. Thanks D&D!

Zoo Day

Hello -
Yesterday Lil and I went to the MN Zoo with Dan, Kate & the girls. We had a great time...well maybe not Lily so much...she was a little crabby for part of the time. But the rest of us had fun!

It looks like Dan should have turned the goats around before we took the picture. Oops!

Nine weeks

Thursday: Lily and I hung out with Trish and Blake for the afternoon. It was nice talking with them all day. That night Mickey went to see a couple of his Stout Buddies and Lil & I went mall walking.

Friday Night: I had a girls night out!!! It started with a bunch of my friends meeting up at PFChangs for a nice dinner. Like always we shared many laughs and many stories. We were also able to celebrate Trish (a couple of weeks ago) & Lori's (Friday the 13th) B-days. I am glad we could do so.

After dinner was over, I wasn't ready to go home. I knew Mickey and Lily had everything under control. I feel bad that I didn't think of doing anything ahead of time so that everyone could have planned on it - but I do enjoy a spur of the moment night on the town! So I recruited Donella and Rachel to join me for a night of dancing at Jersey's.

It was a blast and got even better when we ran into my Cousins Natalie (& Tom) and Jenni (& Matt.) They were out celebrating Jenni's B-day! Small world!! We all had a great time!

Saturday: Dan came over. He helped us with weeding the yard and picking up sticks. We went to a couple garage sales (where he picked up this AWESOME boom box! haha - oh my!) We also grilled and watched a movie.

Sunday: Church, out for brunch, Dan watched the race, and we did a little cleaning.

Over all - it was a great weekend...I just can't believe we are at nine weeks already! She is still so awesome and everyday she is such an enjoyment!

2 Months Old

Can you believe it??? Our little Nugget is 2 months old today. That went so fast!

Along with 2 months - come the 2 month check up and shots :(
That was yesterday. Lily had 3 pokes a droppers. She screamed/cried a little and them calmed down when she ate. She slept for a few hours after the shots, that was good. But when she woke up she was pretty upset. I think she had a little bit of a fever and was sore. We spent a lot of time cuddling. She would start feeling better and crack a few smiles for a few seconds and then the big lip would come out. Near the end of the night she seemed to be feeling better:) I am thinking that today will be normal again. I hope so anyway.
